LuauProtect Documentation
Quick-start guidance for projects, protected scripts, access panels, and licensing. Internal implementation details are intentionally not documented.
1. Create a Project
Sign in with Discord, open the workspace, and create a project to keep related scripts and access panels organized.
2. Upload a Script
Open Upload Script and provide supported Luau source. Choose the protection and compiler options that fit your script, then save or build it.
3. Configure Access
Use free-for-all access where appropriate, or create a Discord panel with keys and whitelists to manage who can run a protected script.
4. Test and Share
Test your loader in a supported environment before distributing it. If you use keys or hardware binding, verify that the intended users can authorize successfully.

Intelligent caching
LuauProtect uses versioned caching to reduce repeated loading and processing. Protected builds are decrypted only as needed for execution, with cache behavior varying according to the selected protection setup.
Performance-aware protection
Compatible builds can use Luraph macro-assisted optimizations to help balance protection, loading time and runtime performance. Results depend on script complexity and the execution environment.
Access on your terms
Keys, whitelists and server-side authorization help you choose who can receive your protected script. No protection technology can guarantee that distributed code will never be inspected or extracted.
